UAAP Volleyball: NU has closed FEU, very close to the final trip

The Manila, Philippine-National University has allowed Far Eastern University to steal a set before doing its job together and has scored 24-26, 25-17, 25-19, 25-10 wins that have kept her unbroken slate in UAAP season 84 women’s volleyball. Tuesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Assured of a double-to-beat bonus in the Final Four, Lady Bulldogs came out lazily and tried to play Lady Tamarus on their own terms before waking up in time to ensure their 13th win in many games.

Bella Belen top-scored for NU with 18 points, while Shina Toring added 12 points.

Eliminated FEU, playing without any pressure to win, tried to stay in NU until the second set but the younger, untested Lady Tamaraws soon lost steam for their 10th defeat for a 1-12 record.

Yet it was an impressive performance for FEU, who lost to NU 25-10, 25-11, 25-12 in the first round.
