UAAP: La Salle rises to No. 2, sending UP to third consecutive draw

Manila, Philippines-La Salle has risen to second place after a third consecutive defeat with the University of the Philippines, in the UAAP Season 84 Women’s Volleyball Tournament, at the Mall of Asia Arena on Tuesday. City nearby.

Aleya Malaluwan and Justin Zazarano’s 1-2 punches led the Lady Spykers to a 4-2 slate where Malaluwan shouldered the scoring load with a game-high 16 points and Jazareno anchored the defense with 12 great digs and 11 great receptions.

UP’s top scorer Alyssa Bartolano was silent on just four points, which reduced the Fighting Maroons to 3-3 in third place. He sat out the whole of the third frame.

Nina Itang led the Maroons with eight points and six great digs and Joan Monares had five points. UP Rocky Ira Jaboneta, who played a key role in the team’s 3-0 start, was not fit.
