MANILA, Philippines – De La Salle University has expanded to three games after sending Far Eastern University 25-7, 25-12, 22-25, 25-11 to the Mall of Asia Arena on Thursday in the UAAP Season 84 Women’s Volleyball Tournament.

La Salle won the third consecutive win, pulling the same 5-2 record as the second-run University of Santo Thomas, beating the Lady Spikers by five sets on May 12 at the end of the first round.

Lady Tamraus, meanwhile, sank 1-6 with their only win near the undefeated University of the East.

“We were able to really prepare against FEU because we know that FEU will really fight us when it comes to this game. I think they were eliminated in the first two sets, “said Benson Buckbok, assistant coach of the Lady Spykers in the Filipino.

“They fought in the third set so we had to adjust. We played a little slower because we adapted to the way our opponents were playing. Fortunately, we were able to recover and win. “

Aleya Malaluyan led the DLSU with 16 points from 15 attacks and Thea Gaggett contributed 14 points. Fifi Sharma was also important in La Salle’s offense with 13 points.

Lady Spykers dominates the Spiking department, nearly doubling FEU’s output, 59-30.

Cheney Tagawood was the only Lady Tamara in double figures with 11 points.
