MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine national volleyball teams will face world-class teams in a friendly match in the country ahead of the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) leg.
In the PNVF International Challenge, the women’s squad competing in the recent 31st Southeast Asian Games will face VNL Thailand on June 11 at 6 pm and Japan on June 12 at 4 pm at Philoil Flying V Arena.
Meanwhile, the men’s team at the SEA Games will play Japan on June 16 at 4 pm and Germany on June 27 at 4 pm at the same venue.
Tune-up match tickets are already on sale.
Asian powerhouse teams Thailand and Japan arrived in the country on Tuesday to continue their build-up for VNL.
Women’s VNL matches June 14-19 at Smart Araneta Coliseum and Men’s Games June 21-26.
This is the first time the Philippines is hosting the VNL Leg, featuring some of the best teams in the world.
