MANILA, Philippines – The Far Eastern University Cheering Squad rocked the 2022 UAAP Cheerdance Competition to finally end a 13-year championship drought at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday.

The FEU Cheering Squad, which has been the back-to-back runner-up for the past two seasons, has been rocked by Rock n ‘Roll inspired performances for its first championship since 2009.

Tamaraws rarely missed a bit from a two-year epidemic break and excelled in the new normal competition, which was limited to a three-minute performance without the presence of only 15 performers and drummers.

The Adamson PEP Squad, the 2017 champion, is in second place with its western country-themed cheerdance.

The FEU also ended the three-year reign of the National University’s PEP squad.

The NU PEP squad, which has ruled six of the last seven seasons, has turned the clock back with its 90-inspired performance. However it only lasted for a bronze finish.
