MANILA, Philippines শেষ The Philippines’ last gold medal at the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam came unexpectedly, but it did.

After finishing initially with a silver medal in the men’s 57kg event, Philippe Delmarino was finally awarded gold after the decision was reversed late Sunday night.

His Vietnamese opponent Nguyen Doan Long was determined for the silver.

“Home-court benefits denied! The Muayithai Association of the Philippines posted on social media that Philippe “El Capitan” Delarmino (Philippe Delarmino) won the gold medal in the men’s 57kg category after a clear victory over Vietnam’s Nguyen Doan Long with a final score of 29-28. .

Delarmino’s victory was the Philippine’s 52nd gold medal at the SEA Games at the end of the competition.

This was Delarmino’s second consecutive gold medal at the biennial meeting. He also won the same event in 2019.
