MANILA, Philippines – Chloe Isletta and Jessica Gerian added two more medals to Philippine swimming after finishing silver-bronze in the women’s 100m backstroke event at the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam on Tuesday.
Isletta, who delivered the groundbreaking gold in the 200-meter backstroke on Monday, beat Indonesia’s Flarin Kandria Onomiharjo for the silver medal in the 1: 03.780 minute, who won the gold in swimming at 1: 03.360.
In the women’s 50m backstroke, silver medalist Xerian finished third for bronze with a time of 1: 03.860.
Meanwhile, Miranda Raina set a new Philippine record in the women’s 50m butterfly with a time of 26.99 in the final but missed the podium for a short time.
Rainer won bronze in the women’s 100m freestyle over the weekend.
