SEA Games: 2 more gold secured in Filipino clash in 10-ball event

Manila, Philippines সে The Philippines will retain the title in both 10-ball events at the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam.

In the women’s 10-ball singles, Chezka Senteno and Rubilen Amit are facing off in the final for the second time in a row.

Senteno defeated Amit 7-3 at the 2019 SEA Games in Manila to win the gold.

In the semifinals on Friday, Amit defeated Penipa Nakjui of Thailand 6-0 to advance to the final, while Sentino defeated Juan Van Bui of Vietnam 6-5.

Carlo Biado and Johan Chua, meanwhile, will meet again in the men’s singles gold medal round just two days after facing each other for the 9-ball crown.

Chua defeated current US Open champion Biado 9-6 to win the gold by 9 balls.

Chua defeated world number one Allosius Yap of Singapore 9-2 in the semifinals of 10 balls and Sharik defeated Aslam Sayeed of Singapore 9-3 in another match in the semifinals of Beado.

Dennis Orcolo won the 10-ball singles event in 2019.

It was another fruitful SEA Games campaign for Filipino cue artists and on Tuesday Amit retained his 9-ball singles title.
