Recruiting Rumor Mill: Hang out from Philadelphia Rivals Camp Series

The rival camp series stopped in the Philadelphia area this past weekend and many top regional prospects were present. Here are the latest news and notes from this week’s Camp Recruiting Rumer Mill.

Michael Van Buren

Michael Van Buren

Some schools in Penn State, Michigan, Alabama, Virginia Tech and Maryland are giving priority to Van Buren. He is one of the top quarterbacks in the 2024 class and one of the best on the East Coast in the next recruitment cycle. Van Buren has no plans to visit at the moment, but hopefully he will try to visit Georgia, Clemson and Alabama. Van Buren is looking for a coaching staff who does not have much turnover but does a good job of developing quarterbacks and has the family culture that everyone is looking for. He may have had his best relationship with the Penn State assistant coach Danny O’Brien. The two often communicate.

The three programs seem to be working best with Adams so far. North Carolina is really leaning on their connection to the Virginia Beach area and it seems to be working. Adams really enjoyed his visit to Chapel Hill and the staff treated him like family. Adams really likes Virginia Tech’s new coaching staff. He said they are doing better for potential recruitment within the state and that he considers it a big priority. Current Penn State receiver and Virginia Beach native KeAndre Lambert is doing a good job confirming that the Nitani Lions are at the top of Adams’ list of options. The coaching staff has done a good job building a strong relationship with him. Hopefully Adams will try to plan programs this summer in Maryland, Penn State, Pittsburgh and Ohio State.

In-State Schools and Penn State have early momentum for Jones. He was on the Virginia campus recently and really enjoyed talking to the new coaching staff and getting to know Coach Elliott. Jones had a strong relationship with the Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry Since his time in Penn State and it has moved to Blacksburg. Jones said that Pry wants to use him as Mika Parsons and it really appeals to him. The Penn State coaching staff has a really good relationship with Jones and it could play a big role down the road. He will try another trip to State College this summer. Hopefully he’ll be back in Ohio someday. For the first time in Columbus he really enjoyed his time and the bookies may be in the process of warming up to him.

Price expects to shrink its list to eight or ten schools at some point in the next three or four months. He said Boston College, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, West Virginia and Cincinnati will all be cut when he announces his shortlist. Boston College and Wake Forest seem to have given him priority and the schools have built some really good relationships with him throughout the process. Coach Adams and trainers from Wake Forest Azar Abdul Rahim He was frequently contacted at Boston College. Prices for an official visit on June 17 will be at Boston College.

Colin Gill

Colin Gill

Gill missed a portion of last season but that doesn’t seem to have diminished his appointment much. Kansas, Kansas State, Washington and North Carolina are all doing well with him. Tar Hills has not yet made an offer but he thinks an offer could come relatively soon. Washington’s style of play and their success in Pack-12 is something that Gill finds interesting. They were his first offer and it carries a lot of weight with him. Kansas and Kansas State are showing a lot of love right now and they can pay dividends down the street. Hopefully Gill will make a few visits and then try to commit next month.

Lee is one of the most coveted defensive backs in the 2024 class but the three teams seem to have separated themselves from the pack. Pittsburgh, South Carolina and Ohio State are locked in to make his shortlist when he announces it sometime in the upcoming season. Ohio State was one of his dream schools and a big fan of his mother Bookies. Defensive back coach of South Carolina Torian Gray There is a track record that really appeals to Leake so Gamecocks seems to be pushing through this process. He really enjoyed the family atmosphere during the Pittsburgh tour before this recruitment cycle and the coaches were able to give him some pointers that helped him in his game. Look for Lee to try out on campus this summer in Alabama, South Carolina, Ohio State and a few more.

College instructors are still learning a lot about love but he thinks it is a priority for schools like Rutgers, Syracuse, Boston College, Maryland, Texas A&M and Georgia. It is the relationship with the coaching staff members of each school that really drives the interest and sets him apart Savon Huggins From Boston College, Khalil Ahmed From Syracuse and Koch Eliza Robinson For their efforts in hiring her from Texas A&M. Expect lots of love visits this summer, including schools like Oregon, Texas A&M and Georgia.

*****

Karriem is a defensive back that many colleges are looking to learn more about throughout this spring and summer. An official tour of Illinois has been set up for the first weekend of June on the long, long defensive back and there should be high expectations for a trip to Illinois. The coaching staff gave him a priority and it did not go unnoticed. Schools like Oregon, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, and a few others have been contacted and shown at her school to watch a workout or learn more about her from her instructors. It should come as no surprise that Karim will see his appointment take a turn for the worse.

Caden Brown

Caden Brown

Brown Hall 2024 Classes and Colleges is one of the most explosive edge racers from the coast to the coast. Rutgers is a great location because they all have connections to his high school. Defensive line coach Marquis Watson Scarlett Knights should be a major contender for him throughout the process so he is doing a good job of hiring her. Washington did a good job of appealing to him early in the process and emphasized how well they fit into their scheme. Although Syracuse may have an invincible edge. Brown’s father played in Syracuse and was very close to the staff with a handful of coaches.

*****

Bethia did a good job of making the rounds early in the recruitment process. Washington, Oregon and Ole Miss are just a few of the programs she has hosted this year. Bethia plans to visit Texas A&M sometime this summer but everyone is probably chasing the Ratgars. Their connection to the Bethia school is very strong and the Rutgers list includes several former Erasmus Hall players. Defensive line coach Marquis Watson Really clicked with Bethia and it doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon

*****

LSU is making a big splash in the four-star athlete, especially after a back-to-back visit to Baton Rouge over the weekend. Aguero hit it off with the coach Brian Kelly And especially position coaches Kerry Cooks His tenure at LSU and the Tigers should be considered a serious front-runner. Ohio State, Florida and Miami should also be visited. Georgia was considered the team to beat but the Bulldogs are now fighting in their hands.

*****

Michigan, Notre Dame and Penn State Hall are the three initial standouts for the 2024 three-star offensive guard but he is keeping in touch with Maryland because it is the local school of Olney (Md.) Good Counsel standout. Altuner loves Michigan offensive line production and coaching staff, strength at Penn State and high-level sports and position coaches. Harry Highstand A huge draw on Notre Dame staff because he has trained Good Counsel Alam Sam Mustifer and others.

The four-star defensive end from Camden, NJ, wore Kentucky gloves during Sunday’s rival camp, and the Wildcats are one of his four favorites with Tennessee and Virginia, but the rumor is that West Virginia lost his appointment. He has an official visit to Morgantown in the first week of June and he plans to travel to the other three. Herd prefers the defensive scheme of the mountaineers, saying that it is “perfect” for him and the four stars hit it with the entire coaching staff.

*****

Penn State, South Carolina and Kentucky Hall are the three primary standouts for the 2025 cornerback from Baltimore (Md.) St. Francis but the school of dreams due to a mix of Notre Dame academics and athletics. In Penn State, Hummus loved the feeling of family there and talked to coach James Franklin. He hasn’t traveled to South Carolina yet but an offer in 8th grade has made an impression and Kentucky recently visited his school for spring practice and has made enough choices to offer Hummus.

Anthony Little

Anthony Little

Georgia Tech, Maryland and Liberty Hall are standout programs for kids, who say yellow jackets are particularly different because they are attracted to playing and going to school in Atlanta and they like the coaching staff a lot. But his family prefers Maryland and it is the hometown school of Upper Marlborough (Md.) Rock Creek Christian Three-Star Defensive End. Trying to make a trip to Miami and if it happens the hurricanes could go even higher.

*****

The rival did not take part in one of the camp’s best-looking prospects as he returns from injury but the 2025 defensive end offers from the Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep Charter are landing fast and gaining much more interest. No favorites have emerged yet but Mathis is talking more with Oregon, Alabama and Ohio State. Rutgers, Texas A&M and Penn State should visit this summer and keep an eye on the Aggies as they land in the latest hiring cycle of Enho White, a former teammate of Imhotep.

*****

The 2025 offensive tackle is rapidly receiving offers and Matthews is open to all programs but Georgia, Rutgers, Miami, Penn State and Texas A&M have yet to catch his eye. The Bulldogs can get even the slightest edge from national titles and Athens academics. Matthews wants to be a doctor and says it will play an important role in his decision-making process when choosing a school.

*****

Oklahoma, Michigan and Oregon are the three programs that have caught Siton’s attention especially since the 2024 four-star offensive guard works through his initial assignment. Washington (DC) St. John’s College High Standout will be pushed from the top Big Ten, ACC and SEC teams during his appointment as the No. 1 offensive guard in his class, but the Suners and Wolverines have taken a huge step forward and achieved a top priority over Eugene. Seems to be.

*****

Maryland, Boston College and Liberty are the three main standouts for Owings Mills (Md.) McDonogh’s three-star offensive lineman. Walker loves Maryland’s coaching staff and environment and is looking for an official visit schedule back to College Park soon. The coaches at Boston College are the most different and he also knows some of the players on the team there.

*****

From the Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep standout, Michigan, Rutgers, Pete and Penn State are the four standouts for the 2024 cornerback. He hasn’t visited Ann Arbor yet but is hoping this summer as coaching staff try to get him to campus. Woseley loved the spring playing environment at Rutgers and how hard the coaching staff was pushing. With the Nitani Lions, he sees the Penn State-to-Philly pipeline opening up further and his relationship with the coach Corey Sanders A major selling point at Pete plus the Panthers gave him his first offer.
