MANILA, Philippines – Phoenix Super LPG has officially acquired Xavi Mokon from Rain or Shine.

Mokon also signed a three-year deal with the Fuel Masters on Tuesday.

Phoenix has released hard-working guard Nick Demusis, his first-round pick in 2022 and second-round pick in 2023.

The PBA approved the deal on Tuesday.

“For the long haul,” Fuel Masters official Twitter account team executives said with a photo of Moken.

The 27-year-old Moken averaged 11.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and a steal for the Elasto Painters in the 2021 Governors Cup. He turned down a three-year contract at Rain or Shine, forcing the team to keep him in the trading block.

Mokon, who has won four NCAA Championships with San Bedar, did not play in a 79-77 win over Rain or Shine against Converse on Sunday in the 2022 Philippine Cup.

Mokon was the painters ’sixth overall pick in 2018.
