MANILA, Philippines – TNT is back on track with a 78-71 win over Meralco in the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup at the Yanares Center in Antipolo City on Saturday night.

Tropang Giga took 19 points from Roger Pogoy and 16 points from Troy Rosario. Poy Erram tossed in 13 when Jason Castro raised their record to 3-2 as the 10 defending champions.

Meralco has proven a strong lot to stretch behind Allen Malksiā€™s 20 points. Chris Newsom and Bong Quinto added 13 and Chris Banchero 12 clubs first in three games.

Relief is now within TNT’s reach, as Chot Reyes has revealed that top gunman Mickey Williams is returning to the Philippines – a sign that negotiations on the deal have finally reached a solution.

Trapang Giga hopes to make a streak with the Phil-Am Guard during next week’s Rain or Shine Thursday game.

Meralco, meanwhile, is shooting for a rebound against screen-lifting Northport on that game date.
