CJ Perez led the way, with 18 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Bearmen, who claimed their second-straight win to regain their All-Filipino crown, which they held for five consecutive years in the 2014-2019 season. .
Marcio Lacita added 18, while Vic Manuel 14 helped San Miguel lead against a previously undefeated enemy.
Don Trolano led the way with 21 points, with Calvin Oftana and Justin Chua adding 16 and 12, respectively, to the Road Warriors who went down 1-1.
San Miguel is now hoping to extend his unbeaten run against corporate siblings Magnolia again at the top of the hill a week later.
The NLX hopes to be just as effective when it comes to defending champions TNT, which, incidentally, is the sister team of the Road Warriors. The fight between the two clubs next Thursday.
