MANILA, Philippines – Mark Caguio will miss another Geneva conference.

Caguio, a former PBA MVP, was not part of Jean Kings’ roster for the 2022 Philippine Cup, which closed out Tips on Sunday.

“Mark Cagui is not on the roster either because he has to fix something. He will definitely not play in the conference, “Geneva team governor Alfrancis Chua told a PBA Season 47 press conference on Monday.

Chua, however, did not elaborate on what Caguiwar needed to fix as he left for the United States on Wednesday or Thursday.

Injuries have hampered Kaguio, who was named MVP in 2012, after winning the last two conferences, including the Governors Cup, won by Jean Kings last month.

Caguioa, the third overall pick by Ginebra in 2001, could be nearing retirement at age 43 this year.

Chua did not say anything about the matter but when the time came he was sure of one thing.

“I know many fans will miss Mark, but he’s going to be part of the Geneva family. Mark won’t leave.”
