MANILA, Philippines – Easily one of the game’s best shooters, Marcio Lacitar entered the Holy Field on Friday night after hitting four triplets in a 100-92 win over San Miguel’s NLEX.
Leicester raised his overall record to 1,001 three-pointers by scoring four triplets in his 18-point career at the Yanares Center in Antipolo City, becoming the ninth PBA player to break the mark.
“It simply came to our notice then. So I’m just grateful and grateful, ”he said on the way out of the mountain part.
This achievement sends Lacitar to an elite team consisting of Jimmy Alapag, Alan Kaydick, Ronnie Magsank, Al Solis, James Yap, Dondon Hontiveros, Arvind Santos and LA Tenorio.
“Really honored and blessed, man. You’re talking Hall of Fame players. Legend. It’s the best thing to do. It’s something you really can’t take away,” Lester said of the company.
And with just 11 seasons under his belt, Lester is in a race to break the record of 1,250 shots set by Alapug.
“I want to reach the top. That has been my goal ever since, “said Leicester, a six-time PBA champion with Powerhouse Club and a leading member of the Smart Glass squad.
“I have faith in myself. It’s not going to be easy, it’s going to be difficult,” he said.
