MANILA, Philippines – PBA legend Jojo Lastimosa has left the NLEX as his assistant coach to become TNT’s new team manager.

Lastimosa has been the assistant coach of the Road Warriors since 2014.

“We have blessed him (Lastimosa) because it is a personal achievement for him,” NLX head coach Yong Guiao said in a statement on Monday.

“We thank Coach Jolas for his invaluable contribution to the Road Warriors organization and we wish him well in the next phase of his career.”

TNT veteran Kelly Williams welcomed Lastimosa to TNT in practice on Tuesday.

“Finally work with the legend, Mr. Clutch, JoJo Lastimosa!” Williams posted on social media.

The Road Warriors have yet to find a replacement for Lastimosa.

Lastimosa, who won 10 PBA titles with Alaska as a Grand Slam player in 1996, replaces Gabby Cue at TNT.

Lastimosa, 58, who was Rookie of the Year in 1998, won three championships as an assistant in Alaska.
