MANILA, Philippines – Barangay Ginebra won its second consecutive win in the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday night, holding Rain or Shine, 90-85, at the Asia Arena in the nearby city mall.

Japeth Aguilar re-enacted for Jean Kings, with 23 points, seven rebounds and a pair of blocked shots for Jean Kings.

But the coaching team knows that there is still much to be done if they want to recover the Philippine Cup.

“It’s good for us, but we have to get better as the conference progresses,” said the seasoned coach.

The Painters took a double-double and 10 rebounds of 15 points from Mike Nieto and 14 points from veteran Beau Belga, both of whom gave in a tumultuous fight in the final frame to intimidate the audience. They trailed 2-1 in the competition.

“Honestly, we were playing the swing. We want to get a big lead, we will be a little softer, and they will come back. We need to clean it up, ”said Shanku.

Ginebra played with corporate sibling Magnolia again at the MOA Arena this Sunday.

Rain or shine, meanwhile, pushes the screen-raising Phoenix Super LPG on that plaid.
