Manila, Philippine-Converse head coach Jeff Carriasso has admitted that his team is still exploring the issues of the two games on the court during the young PBA season.

FiberXers took a big step in their learning curve after a dramatic 89-82 overtime win over perennial rivals Magnolia on Friday in a game where they bounced back from 20 points.

“We’re a young team, we’re learning about each other,” Carriasso said after leading the franchise to its first win at the PBA.

“They’re learning how to play together so we’re trying to win while we’re doing it. Yeah, it’s a little difficult,” Carriasso added. “But resilience, I love effort, don’t give up. I am proud of that. “

Geron Teng scored 19 points and his keepers Maverick Ahnmisi and RK Elagan added 14 points to give Cariaso a good feeling.

Elagan was responsible for keeping the Converse alive, sending the game to the OT with a clutch 3-pointer in the 3.6 second rule.

“My only request is for everyone to be ready. To be ready, to be well prepared, to be rigorously prepared, to be a good teammate and to be ready, ”Carriasso said.

The FiberXers are hoping to show it again when they face another league heavyweight in the TNT Tropang Giga on Sunday.
