ESPN reported Friday that Darwin Hamm, an assistant at the Milwaukee Box, and Terry Stouts, a former Portland Trail Blazer coach, are among the finalists for the Los Angeles Lakers head coaching vacancy.
Los Angeles coach Frank Vogel was fired last month after finishing 33-49 and missing the playoffs.
Other names associated with the job search include box assistant Charles Lee, Toronto Raptors assistant Adrian Griffin and former Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson.
Hum, 48, has just finished his fourth season in Milwaukee coach Mike Budenholzer’s staff. He previously coached the Lakers from 2011-13 under coach Mike Brown. He was an assistant to the Atlanta Hawks from 2013-18 under Budenholzer.
Stouts, 64, has set a 402-318 record in nine seasons with the Trail Blazers since 2012-21, reaching the playoffs in each of his last eight seasons.
Stots’ overall record as NBA head coach is 517-486, including previous coaching stops with the Atlanta Hawks (2002-04) and Milwaukee Box (2005-07).
