Commissioner Adam Silver missed Game 5 of the NBA Finals in San Francisco on Monday night when he was placed under league health and safety protocol.
The league has not revealed whether Silver tested positive for COVID-19 or whether he will be in Boston on Thursday for Game 6 and a potential trophy presentation.
Golden State Warriors beat Boston Celtics 104-94 to take a 3-2 lead in the best-seven series.
COVID-19 made its way through the finals. Two members of the ABC / ESPN broadcaster, Mike Brin and Jeff Van Gundi, were suspended for part of the series after a positive test.
