Bam Adebayo recorded 31 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four steels to give the Miami Heat a 109-103 win over host Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday night.
PJ Tucker contributed 17 points and seven rebounds and Max Strauss scored 16 points as the hits led 2-1 in the seven best series.
Miami won despite Jimmy Butler missing the second half due to inflammation of his right knee. Butler scored eight points in 20 minutes.
Jillian Brown set a personal playoff high with 40 points and collected nine rebounds for the Celtics, who had 24 turnovers. Al Harford added 20 points and 14 rebounds.

Kyle Lori returned from a hamstring injury for the hit and recorded 11 points, six assists and four stills. Miami had 19 thefts overall.
Marcus Smart had 16 points and seven assists for Boston, although he left the game briefly in the third quarter due to a sprained ankle. He returned just four minutes later.
Jayson Tatum had 10 of 3 points out of 14 and he had six turnovers. He left with a right shoulder injury in the fourth quarter but returned in less than two minutes.
The Celtics played without Robert Williams III (left knee).
Boston responded with 12 points in a row before 6:30 with Miami 13 leading. Brown scored 10 of them, including a 3-pointer that cut the hit’s lead to 93-92 with a 2:40 game.
Miami suddenly wakes up again when Strauss fired a 3-pointer, Adebayo hit a jumper and made two free throws of money to make it 100-92 with 1:07 left.
The rest of the way to Boston could not go near six.
46.7 percent hit shots from the field, including 11 of 31 from the 3-point range. Miami has nine turnovers.
The Celtics made 48.6 percent of their effort and were behind 12 of the 32 arcs.
When Butler was eliminated in the lead of The Heat 15 – Victor Oladipo started the second half in his place – and still led by that margin (87-72) after the end of the third quarter.
Adebayo hit eight straight points to go between nine at 8:53 left before hitting another jumper in the fourth 41 seconds. He then scored on a dunk at 7:16 left to bring the Miami lead back to double digits and add a basket 46 seconds later to make it 93-80.
Adebayo scores 12 first-quarter points while Miami sprints out a 39-18 advantage. The lead goes 62-47 at the break.
