MANILA, Philippines – Kai Sotto worked with the Orlando Magic on Friday (Manila time) before the 2022 NBA draft in Brooklyn on June 15.
The Filipino big man shared a photo inside his Orlando locker room on his Instagram story.
Sotto 12 is ready to work with the NBA team. He is said to have worked with the New York Knicks.
Orlando has three draft picks this year, including No. 1 overall pick and 32nd and 35th in the second round.
The 7-foot-3 center, which was not invited to the draft combination, wants to be the first Filipino indigenous talent to be drafted in the NBA.
The 20-year-old began his journey with the Adelaide 36ers in the Australian National Basketball League, where he averaged 7.6 points on 51 percent field goals, including 39 percent shooting from 15.2 minutes deep in 23 games and 4.5 rebounds and 0.7 blocks. .
