KISSIMMEE, Fla. – While seniors across the state of Florida were making a last-minute case for recognition from college coaches seeking offers, Taevion Swint at Osceola High School was working with them to create her own case for the future. Freshman was a highlight reel of impending attractions that carried the rock 85 times with a team-high 12 score on the ground for 612 yards. Now offers are coming.
In addition to a quick-on-fast tailback with great field vision, Swint has made an impact for the Cowboys. [sic] Passing down to 16 runs in 189 yards with two more scores. In the special team, the 2025 talent took six kicks back for 115 yards and seven punt for 209 15 touchdowns.
Spring offers from West Virginia, Minnesota, Louisville, Michigan and Ole Miss are helping to draw more attention to Swint’s skills with Texas A&M, showing interest among others.
Early contact with Sweeney took her to Florida State, Minnesota, South Florida and Florida this spring. Seminoles made a very important initial impression on the Suite.
“Florida State, it was great,” Swint said. “That was my main choice.”
While in Gainesville, Swint could not connect with head coach Billy Napier.
“The Florida tour was okay,” Swint said. “I couldn’t meet the head coach because he’s just coming there.”
A short trip to the Tampa Bay area with the Bulls was positive for the Suite.
“It was a good tour,” Swint said. “I had a long talk with coach (Cam) Iken (Arabic). He was telling me how they run things there. They really love me there too. ”
Summer inspections are being lined up for the suite. A potential trip to Morgantown to see West Virginia is underway but there is a definite stop in Tuscaloosa for the Alabama camp on schedule. Sweet Crimson talks about camping at Tide.
“That means a lot,” Swint said. “In seventh or eighth grade, I went to a camp there and won the MVP in crime. They liked me there, so I’m going to do it again. “
