MANILA, Philippines – Filipino star Paul Voltaire EJ Obina won his second gold medal of the month on Monday.

Obina won gold in the European City of Sports leg in La Aquila, Italy, covering a distance of 5.75 meters.

“It simply came to our notice then. 5.85 m in La’Aquila, Italy. Such a beautiful venue jumping in front of the Basilica de Santa Maria de Colemagio, ”Asian record holder Obina posted on social media.

Earlier this month, Obina, 26, successfully defended her pole vault title at the Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Obiena set a SEA Games record with 5.46m to easily win SEA Games gold.
