Dwight Ramos’ 31 points are not enough as Gilas lost to Korea in a friendly match

MANILA, Philippines – Gilas Philipinas suffered another close defeat at 106-102 to wrap up his two-game friendly series with South Korea at the Anyang Gymnasium on Saturday.

Dwight Ramos led the way for the Nationals with 31 points from 13-of-17 skillful shooting from the field that went through eight rebounds in an attempt to lose.

Another bright spot for Giles with 19 points to follow up his 11-point debut on Friday was Range Abando.

The Filipinos made a strong start but failed to hold their game in the second half and scored 35-21 in the third quarter.

RJ Abriantos also added 17 points for Carlos and Carl Tamayo added 12 points and six assists.

Already dealing with the injuries of the naturalized center Angie Kaume and Dave Ildefenso, Gilas’ health problems led to Francis Lopez hitting his ankle in the first half.

The Giles lost 96-92 to Korea in a game on Friday that came back from a nearly 17-point deficit.
