MANILA, Philippines – Phil-American columnist Harris is leading the 12-member Gilas Philipinas youth team for the FIBA ​​Under-16 Asian Championships June 12-19 in Doha, Qatar.

Samhang Basketball NG Pilipinas (SBP) announced the roster on Monday night.

The 6-foot-7 Harris was joined by team captains Jared Bahe and LeBron Nieto.

Jacob Bayla, Apl Mcandrei Gemao, Jayden Jones, Kristian Porter, Sebastian Reyes, Mikhail Romero, Jain Mahmood, Alexander Konov and Lorenzo Competente have completed the cast.

The Philippines is in Group C with Japan and Kuwait. The top four teams in the pool will advance to the quarter-finals, while the second- and third-ranked teams will face each other in a crossover knockout to finish the quarter.

Josh Reyes will call the shots for the Philippines, aiming to qualify for the FIBA ​​U17 World Cup in Malaga, Spain in July.

Joseph Pangilinan, Eliza UC and Francis VJ are part of the team as a reserve.
