MANILA, Philippines – Brian Bagunas has said goodbye to Ota Miyoshi after three years.
The Philippine men’s volleyball team is ready to enter the star-free agency as he expressed gratitude to the club that brought him to the Japan V League after he graduated from the National University in 2019.
“Thank you, Oita Miyoshi Weisse Adler, for trusting me for 3 years and for the opportunity you have given me. It’s an honor to be on this team, and I’m so proud to be a part of it, “Bagunas wrote on Instagram.
“I will bring the knowledge I have learned where I will play next season. Also, thanks to all those involved and fans who supported me during my 3 years playing at Oita Miyoshi Weiss Adler, “he added.
Weiss Adler has also announced the departure of Filipino Amadani, Emerson Rodriguez and Sonai Kazuma.
“Both Emerson and Bagunas contributed to the team as a scoring source for Ota Miyoshi,” the team wrote on Tuesday. “Both the players were liked by the fans and the team because of their beautiful personalities which did not make them feel different. We look forward to the future success of the three of us. “
Bagunas was Oita Miyoshi’s top scorer after finishing the 2021-22 season with a 6-30 record.
The former UAAP MVP placed Weiss Adler in Division 1 last April in a 32-point blast to torch Fujitsu, 29-27, 25-21, 34-36, 25-19, at the relegation stage.
