Chanel Avaricio worked hard enough in the final round on Friday, with the P750,000 ICTSI pradera returning to level 72 to win the Verde Ladies Classic six shots and complete one of the most impressive performances seen on a recent tour.
Avaricio had two birdie drains for 54-hole 211 against the same number of bogies, with Chihiro Ikeda and Sarah Ababa in second place with 74 and 73, respectively.
“I had the key to the first round, it somehow pushed me,” said Avaricio, who took control of a tour record 64 on Wednesday and then was in command despite scoring 75 in the second round.
Ikeda came in between the two with a birdie at No. 7, before bouncing back by picking a shot at No. 8 to sit on the other four-cushion at the corner after Ikeda ninth bogged down.
It was a cruise control for Alabama State U alumni before the Ecadian bogies at No. 13 and 15 inaugurated Ababa to claim second place.
