MANILA, Philippines – Filipino boxer Aston is set for his double-title bout against homeowner Jason Moloney on Sunday at Australia’s Marvel Stadium in Pallekele.
The World Boxing Council (WBC) will compete for the Silver Bantamweight title and the Zero World Boxing Organization (WBO) for the International Bantamweight Championship.
“I am very grateful for this great opponent. It’s a good opponent for me. I’ve been wanting this fight for a long time. I am in 100 percent condition, ”Pallik told Boxing Scene.
Negros Occidental, a fighter in the city of Bago, added that he was determined to fight for a better life for Filipinos living in Australia.
Palicte, who has won his last three fights and recorded 28-4-1 with 23 knockouts, has reunited with longtime coach Nanay Neri to train at the Davao City MP Gym. He and his coach had a tendency to win ten fights together from 2013 to 2015.
The Filipino boxer is accompanied by manager Jason Sung and assistant coach Ryan Songalia.
“The timing is perfect because I think Aston is a good fighter at 118 pounds,” Sung said. “A win here will start another race for the world title for us.”
Moloney, who has a 23-2 record with 18 KOs, has won his last two fights as he defended the WBC Silver Bantamweight title against Pallik.
The undisputed lightweight title match between George Cambosos Jr. and Devin Haney will be the main event of the fight night at the 55,000-capacity venue.
