MANILA, Philippines – Volleyball star Alyssa Valdez has called on the public to “make up stories and avoid spreading false rumors” during her alleged breakup with longtime boyfriend Kifar Ravenna.

Rumors circulating on social media about the couple’s divorce, Valdez’s handler, V Management Group, released a statement on Thursday morning, urging fans concerned to respect his client’s privacy.

“There is a lot of speculation. We appreciate the concern, but no other party is involved. Let us refrain from telling stories and spreading false rumors. We hope everyone respects Alyssa’s decision to keep things secret, “the statement said.

“Thanks to all the fans who have loved and supported Alyssa for years. We know you will be there for her. This will be the only time we will resolve this issue. We will not entertain any interviews or questions. Thank you for your understanding.”

Crimline Cool Smashers quoted the tweet and wrote: “Please refrain from fabricating stories and spreading false rumors. Thank you for all the love. “

Valdez and Ravenna arrived home last Monday after playing in the 31st Southeast Asian Games with the women’s volleyball and men’s basketball national teams, respectively.

Ravenna and Gilas Pilipinus are set for silver, while Valdez and the women’s national volleyball team miss the podium again.
