Twitterrific recently received a massive upgrade is now a universal app for both ipad and iphone. Twitterrific features include simple to use interface, unified display, Twitter-based searches and lists, conversation threads, capabilities to follow/unfollow and block Twitter users as well as filter the timeline. Twitterrific for iPad uses intuitively the cartoon like balloon features very nicely. The built in browser is also a big help. Twitterrific is an ad-supported app, but you can upgrade to Premium in-app for $4.99.

TweetDeck for iPad (free)

My personal favorite. TweetDeck is the best way to stay in touch with what’s happening now on Twitter for your iPad. TweetDeck’s iPad optimized interface shows you everything you want to see at once, so you can stay organized and up to date wherever you are. The experience on iPad is definitely enhanced from the iPhone due to large screen size. If you have enjoyed the Adobe Air based desktop app, then surely you will like the iPad version.
